Why eDesign?
The most obvious benefit of eDesign is cost savings.
Many traditional full service designers have a minimum budget requirement. eDesign is available to all budgets, with no minimums (at least with me!). I don’t need a minimum budget requirement because you’re not paying me for the “busy work” of shopping for accessories, coordinating furniture deliveries, hanging artwork, and rearranging accessories. All you pay for is the design plan, or the “creative” part. You still get the gorgeous, professionally designed space that will wow all of your friends, without the hefty price tag that comes with paying me to do stuff you’re perfectly capable of doing yourself, like unwrapping boxes and moving a few books around.
Another great benefit of eDesign is that there are no location restrictions. As long as you’ve got high speed internet and access to Pinterest, we can work together! What’s really amazing about this benefit is that I get to work with clients who share a similar design aesthetic, and clients aren’t limited to the design that is available locally. While I can design in a variety of styles, I’m a glamist at heart, and those are my favorite spaces to design. Designers always deliver their best work when they are working within their strength zone, and eDesign makes that possible!
Another often overlooked benefit of eDesign is that the client learns as we go. When I explain why certain decisions are made and how to pull things together, the client gets a fuller understanding of WHY items and groupings work together, making it easier for them to make their own design decisions down the road.
In a nutshell, eDesign lets me work with fabulous people both near and far, and it’s an ultra affordable way to pull together a stylish room.
